OHIO TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS TEAM DUALS
APRIL 25, 2010 - Columbus Convention Center, Columbus, OH
FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Bart Freidenberg 614-833-5885 or bart@ohiotofc.com
The Ohio Tournament of Champions will conduct a Team Dual Meet competition, which will take place, in two sessions, on the Sunday after the regular tournament. Session One will run from 8:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (Elementary and 1/2 of the Middle School) and Session Two (1/2 of the Middle School and High School) from 1:30-7:00 p.m.
The TofC duals will be held in three different age divisions and a total of 96-112 teams will be accepted (30-40 per Division). Each of these age divisions will also have different levels, based on the formation of the teams entering. Teams will be placed in Dual Meet Pools, based upon their wrestler's performances in the Individual TofC competition. However, Team Awards will be given based upon the Size and Level of the team.
Entry Fee: We are still working on this, but it will be a $600 per team In addition, each team will need to provide two table workers for each of their team's dual meets.
We are currently seeking State Coordinators, to establish criteria for selecting all-star teams, in the Elementary and Middle School Divisions, in their state. We anticipate most of the High School Division to be Area Club Teams. Each Age Division will be split into 3-4 different levels, for team scoring and awards purposes (large state, small state, area club, local club, etc...)
Please keep in mind that states, clubs or teams that contact us first will be given first opportunity to compete. However, failure to pay their initial deposit within two weeks, will open their spot back up should, there be a waiting list.
